A spotless restaurant with a beautiful, airy ambiance. The food is absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We would like to thank Mr. Taskin, one of the partners, for his outstanding hospitality. You should definitely visit Pikanti and try their amazing flavors. I also highly recommend stopping by Ephesus Mediterranean Delights, right next door and trying their delicious desserts.
I was pleasantly surprised to find Turkish food in Old San Juan. I ate a falafel pita. It was pretty good. I drank a nice Mojito. There’s a great Turkish ice cream and desert store next to Pikanti falafel. I highly recommend those two spots.
I am a lover of Mediterranean food period‼️ Love this place, food prepared fresh and fast. I ordered the chicken schwarma and a side of fries and let me tell you, yum, delicious‼️😋 Will definitely be back for more.
The wait staff is lovely and the decor is good though. A great alternative to the food options out here in old San Juan. The good thing is that service was relatively quick. We have ordered falafel rice bowl and chicken shawarma rice bowl. The falafel is crispy and fresh. Chicken shawarma was ok but the rice was was bland with chickpeas. The flavor and taste can be improved.
When we went, it was a pretty busy rainy night and a lot of places were closed in the area as it was the day before christmas. As a result, the wait time took some time. Oncecl order the waitress bought the food to our seats. I ordered tacos and it was okay. It cost me approximately $21 for 4.
I was hoping this would be a 5-star review, but was disappointed. The good thing is that service was relatively quick, which you can’t take for granted in PR. Comfortable seating, clean restrooms, no special interior decor or music (but also no loud and disturbing music, like in some other places) But the food was oily and very salty, mostly served on disposable plates (styrofoam is unhealthy and very bad for the environment). The salad we got was tired and sad, very different from the picture on the menu. At check out, the lowest option for tip was 17%, which was too high for the food and service.
Stopped here on our last day in PR, and it did not disappoint!! Falafel is one of my favorite foods and I was excited to try it here. I got the falafel sandwich with tahini, and my boyfriend got the chicken shawarma with garlic mayo and we both loved it! We also got the cheese cigars to share which came with a super good garlic aioli-type sauce which is delicious. Overall i definitely recommend!!
We ordered pita beef doner and chicken shawarma rice and both were delicious. We will be back.
